Ans:- When Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam become mature, he asked his father about the utility of prayers in life. Ans:- Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam's  attitude to religion and his conceptions about spirituality have found a lot of   expressions in his autobiographical essay "Strong roots." Right from his child hood he was a regular visitor of the local mosque of Rameswaram. Though Kalam did not understand the meaning of Arabic prayer, which was chanted in the mosque but he was totally convinced that prayer reached to the god. He was deeply impressed by his father's concept to spirituality that he had tried to emulate to his father in his own world of science and technology. He also tried to understand the fundamental truth that revealed to him by his father.

Ans:- The locality, where Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam was living with his family was pray dominantly Muslims but a lot of Hindu families also lived there. Ans:- Abdul Kalam's father thought every human being is part of the divine being manifest himself in different forms. The world around us is nothing, but the creation of divine being. Every creation in the world is the specific element of the universe. Thus every human being is a specific element within the whole of the manifest divine being.

Ans:- Here 'this' refers to the spiritual concept of Kalam's father. According to Kalam's father this world is nothing, but manifestation(creation) of God. Every human being is a specific element within the whole of the divine being. So we should not be afraid of difficulties, sufferings and problems. We should tried to understand the cause of sufferings and problems and also remember that adversity always presents opportunities for introspection.

Ans:- The expression 'fundamental truth' refers to the truth universally accepted as the basic principle of life, Kalam revealed the truth that every human being as a specific element within the whole of the manifest divine being. He expressed the truth that adversity always presents opportunities for introspection. All this fundamental truths convinced Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam that the existence of divine power can lift a person up from confusion, melancholy, failure and guide a person to his true place.
